The goal of the organization is to restore the diner in its present location, and maintain it as a Milford informational and cultural center benefiting all of Milford.
Opening All of the Doors of Milford. The Milford Diner is slated to open Summer 2010, and as a community center, the diner will augment the varied cultural activities of our City. The Diner will feature independently made (many locally produced) films; feature the work of local and area artists; host music events; be a place for family events; and much more.
Additionally, The Milford Diner will serve as the City’s concierge. Staffed by well-trained volunteers and professional staff, the Diner will be the place for residents and tourists to go for up-to-date information on what is happening throughout all of Milford. The Milford Diner, in this capacity, will play an important role, through its marketing and publicity activities, in highlighting the rich cultural, environmental and historical resources of Milford as well as promoting our vibrant entertainment, dining, retail and business community.
How you can help. The Milford Diner needs to raise $7,000 by end of the 2009. This money will be used towards the purchase of the actual structure and towards engineering and permitting costs.
We hope you agree with the aims of The Milford Diner, and we hope, as a founding supporter of this project, you will enjoy a lifetime membership in The Milford Diner Club.
